About
Hello, my name is Dana. I was born in California and moved to Maine, where my dad is from, when I was 9 and I can’t imagine a better place to move to when life is tender and one still absorbs every detail.
Once a part-time recreational interest, photography became a full-time occupation when I began my work as communications manager at the Maine Center for Contemporary Art. It did not take long to realize there was no better way to tell their story than through photography – of the galleries, the artists, of our events, the visitors, the staff, photos of kids (and adults) in the CMCA Art Lab studio cultivating the artist in themselves for the first time.
From CMCA I went on to tell a broader story of Maine’s arts community, photographing events for CIFF, Farnsworth Art Museum, Dowling Walsh Gallery, Camden Conference, Maine Windjammers Association as well as capturing portrait photography for Maine’s artists in their studios.
